The Village of Sayward is moving forward with upgrading its water treatment systems.
Mayor John MacDonald says the village will be bringing the system up to Island Health standards with improved filtration.
The Village has received 2.9 million dollars from the Federal Government’s Gas Tax Fund for the project.
MacDonald says the funding will cover the full cost of the water system upgrade.
