Upgrades Coming to Internet Service on North Island

Plans are moving forward to improve internet service on the North Island.

Line Robert with the Island Coastal Economic Trust says the upgrades are being spearheaded by the Ragged Edge Community Network Service.

Robert says high speed internet is important in rural communities for business, education, and health care.

The trust is investing $50,000 dollars towards the upgrades, which are slated to start in the new year.
