BC Hydro says a tree caused a massive power outage on the North Island Tuesday morning.
Power was knocked out to approximately 7,000 customers after a tree came down across a transmission circuit.
Hydro crews were up at first light conducting helicopter patrols.
They are aiming to have power restored by 1 pm.
