BC Ferries included into the New Building Canada Fund

The NDPs are pleased to see their proposed changes included in the government announcement regarding the New Building Canada Fund.
The fund will now include BC Ferries to seek funding for infrastructure, terminals, fleet upgrades, and new vessels.
NDP MP Rachel Blaney says they needed the rates to stabilize when infrastructure cost rise, so it won’t go back on the people that desperately need those ferries.
Blaney says the next steps are to see how things will be implemented, and the NDP will ensure it makes sense.
