New bus service linking North and South Island launches Thursday

A new shuttle bus service for the North Island starts next week, after months of anticipation.

Starting May 16, the IslandLink Bus will have routes connecting Port Hardy, Port McNeill and Campbell River to the rest of the company’s Vancouver Island routes.

Philip Morgan, owner of IslandLink, says they know the North Island is underserved with bus transportation, and are looking forward to expanding service to allow residents and visitors more options.

The service to Port Hardy will also provide a connection option for people travelling on northern BC Ferries routes linking the Island with Bella Coola and Prince Rupert.

The company offers online booking, visit their website for the link and for more information about pricing and schedules.
