Paid Donors in the province

Powell River – Sunshine Coast M-L-A Nicholas Simons is concerned about an apparent move toward paid donor clinics in B-C.
Simons is not happy and blasted the Liberals for their decision.

Simons says if the main idea of this is to promote blood donations, then people who are gay should be allowed to donate blood.

According to Canadian Blood Services, Men who have sexual contact with other men are allowed to donate blood.

But they can’t donate if they’ve had sexual contact with another man within five years.
