Variable speed signs around the province

The province has launched a pilot project of variable speed signs on three highways.
The signs have been put in place on the Coquihalla, Sea to Sky, and the Trans-Canada Highway near Revelstoke.
Sea to Sky MLA Jordan Sturdy says the goal is to have speed limits adjusted to reflect changing road conditions.
Sturdy says the province will be monitoring the signs and may look at installing them in other areas, including on the island.
He says it’s good for all drivers across the province are aware of the signs if they are heading out on road trips this summer.
