Port McNeil Mayor Shirley Ackland says it’s significant to all of us particular this year in light of the truth and reconciliation process that is ongoing.
She says it’s important to celebrate our Aboriginal heritage.

Ackland says the culture enriches everyone, especially the children who grow up learning the culture in Canada, a fabric we all share.
