The United Way is thanking organizations around the country for their support.
Spokesperson Kyla Karakochuk says the United Way works with different companies across Canada to raise funds for projects in their specific region. She notes that most of the money is raised through a workplace employee giving campaign through the United Way.
Karakochuk says there are many ways to get your workplace involved with the United Way.
