Heavy rains concentrated on the North Island

Residents on Northern Vancouver Island are being advised of some heavy rainfall set to hit the region tonight and Tuesday.

Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau with Environment Canada says there’s a strong stream of moisture coming off the Pacific that will deliver a broad range of rain across the Island. She notes a lot of the heavier rains will be concentrated on the Northern parts of Vancouver Island.

Charbonneau says the heaviest rains will come on Tuesday. She notes that there will likely be 30 millimetres to more than 100 across the Island.
