BC Ferries adds extra sailings for Remembrance Day weekend

Extra sailings are being added to BC Ferries this weekend.

Spokesperson Deborah Marshall says it’s because of where Remembrance Day falls this year. She says a lot of users will have a long weekend – and may use that to go away on a trip.

The extra sailings are between Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay and Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay. Marshall notes that Ferries flags will be flying at half-mast and a moment of silence will take place at 11 AM Friday morning.
