Kyoquot elected rep holding community meeting August 27

Residents in Kyuquot are invited to a community meeting next week to meet one-on-one with their elected rep from the Strathcona Regional District.

A community meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27 at the Old School house restaurant at the Kyuquot Inn. Area A Director Gerald Whalley will be there to give a community update, along with regional district CAO David Leitch and engineering manager Wolfang Parada.

Attendees will be able to learn more about the ongoing Connected Coast project, bringing high-speed Internet to the north by installing undersea fibre-optic cables. The Last Mile Project, connecting homes to high-speed Internet, will also be up for discussion.
