Planning is underway for a regional forum to discuss economic opportunities on the North Island.
Line Robert with the Island Coastal Economic Trust says the area has been hit hard by the curtailment of the Port Alice Mill.
Robert says the trust will work with the province to help secure transition funding, once the initiatives are identified.
